One of the biggest names in Jiu-Jitsu, Joao Miyao is coming to Brea Jiu-Jitsu to give a seminar! The seminar will be held on June 6th at 6:00PM. This is the day after world championship finals, so if you are in town this works out perfectly! We are limiting to 35 people. The cost is $80.
In his yellow belt debut, Nolan Stuart took 1st pace at the most prestigious kids tournament in the world – the IBJJF Pan Kids. In his division were many athletes from top teams including competitors who had traveled from Brazil! In addition to being part of our kid’s Jiu Jitsu classes, kids competition team and adults classes, Nolan is part of our after school program. He gets a daily study session, music classes and science class. He plays mellophone and recently earned student of the month honors at Brea Junior High!
The least important thing Nolan has received at Brea Jiu-Jitsu is instruction on specific techniques. Vastly more important than technical instruction is a careful cultivation of a mentality which the pursuit of excellence is the norm and an atmosphere which fosters a love for the art. Nolan was one of our first students and he is reaping the reward of all of his hard work and dedication.
Most of our kids choose not to compete, but we have the infrastructure and environment where the kids can excel if they so desire!
We will be running a summer camp Monday-Friday from July 20th- July 31st from 1-4PM. We will be teaching music, chess and jiu-jitsu and it will be very beginner friendly on all 3 subjects. Instrument rental and gi rental included! Cost is $200. Message BreaJiuJitsu@gmail.com to register.
On Saturday, June 20th we are doing a special parent and child BJJ class at 10AM in place of the kids class! Adults, get your kids off the x box and working x guard!! Kids, get your parents off the sides and lets teach them side control!
Non members welcome! Free. Parents, email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP. It will be a No Gi class so wear workout attire!
