We will be close August 31st and September 1st for the Masters World Championships/Jiu-Jitsu Con tournament in Las Vegas. Good luck to our competitors!
No Class 8/19
There will be no class (tomorrow) Saturday August 19th for the Jiu-Jitsu World League tournament in Anaheim.
Closed July 4th
We will be closed July 4th, but will be open for all other regularly scheduled classes.
Nolan Stuart Becomes Brea Jiu-Jitsu’s First Homegrown Black Belt!
This week Nolan Stuart was promoted to the rank of black belt!
Nolan has been with Brea Jiu-Jitsu since opening when he was 10 years old. He a graduate of our kids program, after school program and grew up on the blue mats. Nolan is Brea Jiu-Jitsu’s first completely home grown black belt and carries all of our gyms techniques, strategies and mindset at the highest level of BJJ.
Competitively he has many accomplishments that place him in the upper echelon of the sport. At brown belt he was IBJJF Pan Champion and IBJJF worlds silver medalist. He ends his run at brown belt ranked #2 in his weight class, trading wins in a pair of close matches with #1 in the finals of Pans/Worlds. He is the top ranking American grappler in his class – the next being ranked #17. Of all weight classes combined, he is the #2 ranked American prospect.
His main prior accomplishments were Pan Kids champion (yellow), Juv. World Champion (Blue), Pan Champion (Adult blue), American National Champion (Purple).
The future is bright!


Michelle double silvers at world championships!
Michelle earned two pieces of hardware by taking 2nd in her weight and open weight divisions at the biggest tournament in BJJ!

Nolan takes 2nd at World Championships!
Congratulations to Nolan on his silver medal in the adult brown belt middle heavy division!

IBJJF Worlds modified schedule
We will be closed for all PM classes Thursday-Saturday for IBJJF worlds. Come out and support your teammates at the Long Beach Pyramid!
Adults will have an open mat during regularly scheduled class times.
We will be OPEN for all classes for the holiday on 5/29.
Modified Juniors class schedule May 11th
Our regularly scheduled juniors class on May 11th will be canceled and a makeup will take place Friday, May 12th at 4:00PM.
Nolan Wins IBJJF Pans!
Fresh of his double gold performances at IBJJF Nashville Open and IBJJF Los Angeles Open, Nolan and Coach Dan traveled to Florida and claimed the adult middle heavy brown belt Pans title! This tournament is second in prestige only to World Championships and has all the same elite competitors from all over the world. Congrats Nolan!
